DQS12 Mini Quilt finished

Thank you so much for sharing!

If you have been following me on Instagram or Twitter, you have seen the progress on this little mini quilt.  DQS stands for Doll Quilt Swap and its a swap that takes place on Flickr, so you can post photos of your progress and post inspiration.  You are assigned a partner and then you look at their blog or other flickr photos to determine what colors and design you want to make for them.  I hid my partners name from the label, because it is a surprise swap until my partner receives this in the mail!

This mini measures 17.5 x 17.5
I used Joel Dewberry Heirloom fabrics and Aviary 2.
Machine quilted by me
Warm n Natural batting

This design is called drunkard’s path.  The cool thing about drunkard’s path is the many arrangements you can have just by adjusting the way the drunkard’s path block is placed.

I was going for a “bow” effect by the way I placed the drunkard’s path pieces and how I arranged the fabric and block.

Here is the back.

I hand embroidered the label of this mini.

Little hands liked this quilt too.

The binding

I will send this off in the next week, and probably add some Hawaiian goodies to the package.
