How to Hand Quilt Around a Shape

How to Hand Quilt Around a Shape

Thank you so much for sharing!

Hello there!

I am in love with double gauze fabric.  It has a unique look, it’s breathable, and soft.  I used this double gauze designed by Lizzy House for Andover fabrics to create some lovies for the baby series I have been working on.  This first tutorial focused on how to hand quilt around a shape or motif.  I happened to use the butterfly that was printed on the fabric, but this can be translated to any sort of shape on your project!

Would I just need to see two pieces of this fabric together on each side if I wanted to make a larger picnic blanket? I see the fabric only comes in 44" width. I am a sewing novice. Thank you for any advice. Kelly

This so amazing it's the same fabric as the country bed quilt I decided made a perfect couch cover!
