How to Sew and Easy Fabric Headband

Thank you so much for sharing!

Hello my Makers!

I’ve got a new super simple tutorial for you today!  In my latest video on YouTube, I show you how to sew an easy fabric headband.  This is a great scrap busting project, uses very little fabric and supplies and you can make tons for all your outfits in no time!  I have an adult size and kids size!

I think that taking the photos with my daughter and my besties daughter was my favorite part of this whole project!

This is my Ainsley.  Her poses crack me up and her spunk kills me everyday.

Instructions:

Press and cut your fabric piece for the proper size.

Fold fabric lengthwise right sides together and sew 1/4 inch all the way down.

Flip fabric right side out and press.

Fold ends in on themselves at least a 1/4 inch and press.

Insert elastic end and pin in place on both sides.

At the sewing machine, stitch the elastic in place very well.  Include an extra stitch and lots of back stitching.

Optional: Sew the width of the presser foot or a scant 1/4 along the sides of the headband for some top stitching if desired.

Trim threads and you’re DONE!
