Sewing Room Studio Tour!

Sewing Room Studio Tour!

Thank you so much for sharing!

Hi Everyone!  Today, I’ve got a little Sewing Room Tour video for you… I know everyone likes to see a good craft room reveal right?!

Here are some of the things I think are essential in a sewing room.

Sewing Room Furniture Essentials

-Large cabinets/closets (preferably with doors to hide messes)
Similar to mine https://amzn.to/1FBVoRY

-Rolling storage: great for having right next to you when in the midst of a big project, but can be tucked away if necessary.
Similar to mine and great craft room storage option https://amzn.to/1FBVuJe

-Sewing machine table – I like one that has a little depth to it. One day, I’d love one that my sewing machine drops down into to create a flush surface… one day!
Mine is vintage… but this one is nice! https://amzn.to/1KR3NZq

-Counter height table for cutting and prep – my favorite part of the room!
Great affordable option for counter height table that can be put away. https://amzn.to/1T19PsQ
This is also a great counter height table option! https://amzn.to/1IpocUJ

-design wall (see my video if you want to make your own HERE).
-seating for visitors ;). Optional but fun.

I love how everything now is light and bright!  The paint color is Silver Dust by Valspar… I wanted a very light grey, so that you can still see the white molding from the shutters, closet doors and furniture.  I used a mix of primer and paint in eggshell.  My BFF Ashley helped me for an afternoon, so I was able to crank this out in a day and a half.  So much easier when there is no furniture in the room! For filming purposes, the light and white room is ideal so that my project can stand out and to bounce more light around the room since this room gets the best light in the morning… so if I’m not able to film in the morning, I need all the help I can get!

I was very hesitant to put this bed in the room, I didn’t want everything to feel too crowded.  But I think it’s actually a great addition.  We didn’t want to get rid of it for the day when my kids don’t share a room… plus its a good spot for them to come and hang with me as well as a guest option.

Do you have a design wall in your sewing/craft room?  It is such a nice thing to have.  I have a video tutorial HERE on how to make one.

What do you think? Here is a video of me showing you around… hope you enjoy!
