Chalk Paint DIY Tutorial

Hey Everyone!

I have a super cool new tutorial to show you!  My best friend lives next door and she got this shelf at a garage sale.  After awhile, she couldn’t find a good spot in her house for it, so before she threw it away, she asked me if I wanted it.  I said sure! I think that could be something fun at some point!  It sat around for a little while and then it dawned on me that I should try the chalk paint trend that is so big right now! This is my first attempt at chalk paint upcycling… what do you think about the outcome?

I used the Folk Art Home Decor Chalk paint from Plaid and really liked how well it turned out.  Comes in a ton of colors and is acrylic, so great for cleanup and easy brush washing.

I even used the paint on these random birds I had laying around… they are so cute now!
