Several weeks ago we had the opportunity with our charter school to go to the Natural History Museum in LA. My kids had a blast wandering around the museum and their favorite part was the dinosaur bones. They have a really spectacular display. This is one of the thinks I love about homeschooling… flexibility. The field trip was organized by the school, but we could come and go – stay as long as we liked and do what we wanted and would work best for us. When we saw the rose garden next door, it was nice to have the option to explore and take in the education of the museum and the inspiration of the gardens and make it a nice time for all of us.
Here is the Natural History Museum from inside the rose garden that we discovered next door.
One of the super awesome dino displays.
Once we were done at the museum we wandered over to this rose garden right next door. The kids love flowers and also love to run around so I thought this would be a good place for them to run around and get some energy out before the hour long drive home.
There were so many roses, different colors, varieties and so many in bloom when we were there. The kids and I had fun roaming around and picking out which ones were our favorites. Here are some of the roses that caught our eye.
The grounds were truly breathtaking and you would never know you are in the heart of L.A.. We want to go to the Science Center soon, since we saw in next to the rose garden too.
Hope you enjoyed some eye candy and enjoyed hearing about our little adventure!

I received your Bow Beanies Crochet Pattern. Just wondering if on the 9th: ch1, 2 hdc, hdc 7. Should this be repeated until desired length? Or after 9th. step hdc until desired length?

The CA Science Center is awesome! We were just there this past weekend with my son. The kids will love seeing the space shuttle up close, visiting the 50 ft human body, the tide pools they can touch and so much more. We've been there twice and still haven't seen everything!
