When I can, I participate in a twitter chat on Tuesdays called #talknt. It’s really fun to ask questions, show projects and chat about quilting and sewing. There are always sponsors and prizes. Anyway, I wanted to participate in the swap with other talknt peeps and I decided to make a mug rug and a coaster set with the “plus sign” or granny square look. I used a random green fat quarter for the binding and some floral fabric for the backing.
I used a Momo Just Wing It little teeny 2.5 pre-cut pack. And I practiced some different free-motion techniques for the quilting. I hope my partner likes it!!

Thank you for this. I have never quilted before and found you through YouTube tutorials. Amazing. You are clear and show such sweet fabrics and projects. I want to make a quilting friend a present and this may be perfect. I hope I can manage it!!

Welcome back to blogging! Love them! I think I'll make some coasters for the Boutique at the quilt show next year. Great way for me to use up some more of those donated quilt squares.
