Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday! All the family has gone back home, and I am feeling better (I got sick over Christmas) so I am getting the house clean, putting Christmas decorations away and getting caught up on daily tasks. And getting back to blogging and making stuff! I made several foldover clutches for ladies in my life and now that they have recieved them, I can share them with you!
This is a great pattern by LBG Studio.
I really wanted to use the leather accent shown in the pattern and the metal zipper to make it look more professional. I bought some black ostrich fake leather (vinyl), the metal zippers, and fabric I thought the girls would like. This clutch above I put a fun lining because I thought my recipient would appreciate it ;). The others have a canvas zebra print to add some sturdiness.
Here are most of the clutches I made… 1 had already been mailed out. I did not have a ton of experience making bags, so this was really good for me. I feel like I got some good practice with my zipper skills and sewing with non-cotton (thank you teflon foot) and some experience with interfacing. I am looking forward to making some more! And some more bag like things, like an ipad cover and maybe even a duffle bag. I’ve been eyeing the new Barij Holiday in London duffle ;).
