Crochet Flowers

Thank you so much for sharing!

Happy Tuesday everyone!  I have been working on some crochet flowers for the past couple of days.  My friend Liz asked me if I knew how to make baby hats after seeing my post from last Friday.  I said no, but that I would love to try some!  It has been so fun to think of fun hats for a baby girl, since I have a boy!  I have this book called Crocheted Flowers by Nicky Epstein and I have been itching to have and excuse to try some of these great flowers.  I made the flowers first to see the scale and then I’ll make a simple white hat and attach the one I like best.  There are even a few more in the book I want to try.  Here they are!

The Rosey Flower with large and small basic leaf
The large Snowball
Rosette
Here are all 3 so you can see the scale.  The snowball is really big and fluffy, and heavy to!

The pink yarn is from Lion Brand baby and it is called Berrylicious, the photos don’t show how vibrant and fun the color is.  I know which one is my favorite, which one do you like?

Wow, they are all adorable! I saw a book on crochet flowers in a friend's home and thought of you, so I'm glad you've got one. The possibilities are endless. I like the rose with the two petite leaves attached. It's lovely, just like you.

How funny you mention baby hats, because my friend and I were talking about them this morning. She wants them as cherries on top of her twin granddaughters' heads. The one she saw had crocheted pumpkins, and I guess they make things for each holiday to replace the pumpkins when fall has turned cold. Such fun! (The store was all out of them by the time she went to buy them.) Anyhoo, I like your blog. And.. thank you for all you endure and give up as an army wife. I salute you all! Many thanks!!
