Hello Everyone!  I hope you all had a fantastic holiday weekend!  I did, we had a BBQ with some local friends and some visiting family.

The poll for which Baby Bumper you all liked best closed yesterday and the results… Practically split!  Out of 21 votes, 11 votes were for the ruffled bumper and 10 for the piped bumper.  I guess this makes sense though because I’m split too.  I love the piping and the long ties on bumper No. 1, but like the direction of the fabric better in Bumper 2.

My Mom is so silly, she made the piped bumper first.  But once she got it done, the direction of the fabric was really bothering her, so she made another one… even though I told her the bumper was great how it was.  She also made the skirt and blanket.  I love how personalized it is and that every time I see this bedding I will think of my Mom and this process!  I plan to make the baby mobile out of the scraps of fabric she gave me.

I think I’m going to take the ties off of piped bumper No. 1 and put them on ruffled bumper No. 2.  It will make it much easier to take the bumper on and off with bedding changes etc.  Here are the photos again.

On tap this week… straight line quilting the Window Jane Quilt – which is turning out to be harder than I expected!  I’ll give you the tips and tricks that work well for me later this week!
