Hi Everyone!
I wanted to share this video with you really quick… a great Back to School tutorial! It is also a great skill builder and scrap busting project. In addition to the tutorial, I have some behind the scenes footage from vidcon and a giveaway in the video that is ending soon, so I wanted to get that info to you asap!
Enjoy this project!
OMG!!! Melanie thank you for this easy to make book mark tutorial. You are the best. I am a huge fan and always look forward to the next video tutorial. Thank you so much for your teaching techniques making it real easy for me to follow. May God continue to bless you in all you day.
Love all of your tutorials! Got a sewing machine this year and have learned so much watching you! Made a baby rag quilt this summer and love it. Now want to take the big leap and try doing a quilt so know I’ll be watching even more of you.
I would love a clutch tutorial with lining inside, please do a you tube tutorial . ? ???
This is a nice little tutorial! I’ve never seen quilted bookmarks before now, but it’s such a great idea. Thanks!
I have made two baby quilts from kits-one is for my neighbor who is having a boy in Sept and the other one will be a charity quilt. I also have made a couple of crocheted baby caps which I donate to one of our hospital nurseries. Also, our knitting/chrochet group at church donates items to several charities in town and I embellished a onesie with a fabric necktie for a little boy, and have made several burp cloths.
This summer I have been using up scraps to clear out some of my sewing closet. I have been doing an online quilting project called Twisted Blossom and getting a real scrappy look. I have also made big block quilts backed with fleece, and on the blocks I am practicing doing different kinds of free motion quilting. These quilts will become charity quilts that my quilt guild gives away to needy people. I have also assisted working on a fundraiser quilt for The American Cancer Society.
This summer I have been trying my hand at some string art designs. I have been incorporating that along with my quilting. I made a small wall quilt for a baby shower and also made a string are whale to compliment the wall hanging. That was a super fun project and looked fabulous with the wall hanging. I have created quite a few more , and have had several requests from my friends.
Thanks so much for the fun giveaway Melanie.
What a great tutorial! Going to have to make some. This summer I have been crocheting several baby blanket following your tutorials. Everyone loves them. So many babies coming at my church. Love making and giving them as gifts! Now I have my first grand baby coming the first of January, so now I am busy making the blankets and burp cloths etc. summer has flown by. I did take a break and my husband and I went up to the Mackinaw Bridge a couple times. Actually went up to Newberry too and went to the Oswald Bear Ranch and got our pictures taken with a little black bear cub. ( We live in Michigan ) Hope your summer has been great. Your children are adorable!!
I love this idea! I went over to Spoonflower and bought some special designed fabric swatches for my bookmarks. I can’t wait until my fabric arrives! Thank you, Melanie!
