On whether or not this is cute. I’m leaning towards not. Thoughts?
It’s a baby lovey…
yah… I’m thinking not.

hmmm I have to agree it's not my favorite -since you're asking :) - I usually love the pink and green together, but somehow these just aren't blending. Could you crochet the two together, using a large hook? or maybe make it rows alternating, to combine the colors a little more? Love the idea though! Excited to see what you come up with!

tee he he, a baby lovey is a portable blanky. Good for the stroller, car seat or traveling in general rather than having a huge blanky getting dragged on the ground etc.
The watermelon is a cute idea! I think it needs less eyelash yarn too.

I think I'd like it better if you flipped it so the green is on the bottom, and looped a few black thread seeds in the pink so it looks like a wedge of watermelon. And what's a baby lovie? Those of us with adult children are sadly out of the loop on this new baby-associated nomenclature (eyes crossed, question mark floating above my head).

I can see how Robert got there...it looks like the same material as Oscar the Grouch or Cookie Monster.
